Discover Your Yoga (DYY) was dreamed in 2008, founded in 2009 and has reinvented itself many times over the years. (Just like it’s founder has.)
DYY has manifested as multiple brick and mortar studio spaces, a mobile studio, an online space, a retreat centre, a home away from home and has created many beautiful communities within a larger global community.
It’s also none of that anymore, and all of it still.
Discover Your Yoga just is what it is. It’s yours to discover. Always has been. Always will be.
That’s what makes it so special.
DYY was built on a strong, timeless, and limitless foundation which is why it’s roots grew deeper, its branches reached wider and the community grew stronger through the storms, challenges, obstacals and adversities it’s faced.
We stayed curious. We stayed rooted in compassion. We were united and supported by community.
The story of DYY is a beautiful story of dream building, a series of inspired actions, discovery, growth and a continuous exploration of what if means to live the practice of yoga… on and off the mat.
CURIOSITY. COMPASSION. COMMUNITY.
DYY would not exist without these 3 pillars.
A spark of curiosity will bring you to your “mat” and into the inquiry of yoga.
The experiences you have and meaningful connections you make with yourself and others will light a flame inside of you. Learning how to take the seat of the witness and observe yourself and others from a place of compassion will fuel the fire of desire and interest to continue on your path of expanding self-awareness, self-discovery, self-healing and transformation.
Although yoga is a personal practice and is yours to discover, it’s the support of your community, the relationships you build and the like-minded people you meet that will continue to fan your flame and create a burning desire to discover, grow and expand into your Self even more.
