We are SO excited to be offering another retreat in paradise! This January YOU are invited to join us for an adventure of a lifetime in beautiful Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica!

A deep daily yoga practice is part of the experience, but this retreat is so much more than a yoga retreat. It is truly a "bucket list" adventure where you'll return home from your vacation completely recharged, revived and feeling like the best possible version of YOU.

Your Retreat Leaders:
Lindsay Vandenhurk and Janet Coyle will be your teachers and guides for the week. Together they have a wealth of knowledge and experience in both teaching yoga and leading retreats and are committed to creating an exceptional retreat experience for you. They will challenge you to explore your practice on a new level and be there to support you in whatever ways you need. They believe very strongly in the power of yoga to heal and when it happens in a setting as beautiful as Costa Rica with other like-minded souls, the effects can be truly transformational.

Location/Accommodations:
We’ll be staying at Tierra de Sueños Wellness and Retreat Centre where the tropical rainforest meets the sparkling ocean. Located just outside the Caribbean resort town of Puerto Viejo in the beach community of Playa Chiquita, the rustic retreat centre is nestled in the jungle right next to some of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica. Guests that fall instantly in love with Tierra de Sueños are nature lovers, beach goers, adventure enthusiasts, and people who enjoy a mixed variety of food and culture. (The food is delicious!) When walking along the pebble paths upon your arrival, you will quickly note that a stay at Tierra de Sueños is an experience in nature. If eco-tourism, exotic plants and animals, friendly people and unspoiled tropical beaches interest you, it doesn’t get much better than this! Each shared bungalow has 2 beds, a bathroom and your own private deck where you’ll likely see monkeys, toucans, sloths and other wildlife hanging out as you relax in your hammock! (Seriously!)

Yoga: 
Daily yoga classes, meditations and workshops will be offered throughout the week by Lindsay and Janet either on the beautiful open-air yoga deck to the soundscape of the jungle and howler monkeys, or on the beach as we watch the sunset. Classes will be a mindful mix of Kripalu yoga, Slow Flow, Therapeutic Hatha, Yoga Nidra and Vinyasa styles. All classes are suitable for all levels as modifications and posture options will be offered. There will typically be one teacher leading and another assisting. Morning practices tend to be more energetic and flowing, while the afternoon practices are usually more meditative, restorative & contemplative. We'll make adjustments according to the energy and requests of the group.

What’s Included: 
-7 nights and 8 brilliant days of relaxation, adventure and mind, body, soul healing at Tierra de Sueños Retreat Centre.
-3 of the freshest, organic and locally sourced vegetarian meals each day (did we mention that the food is delicious!?!?) 
-Daily yoga and meditation classes and additional workshops led by Lindsay and Janet.

Additional Tours and Activities:
Snorkelling day trip and tour of Cahuita National Park, surf lessons, waterfall and jungle hikes, chocolate tours, animal rescue centre, horseback riding on the beach, zip lining through the jungle, white water rafting, visiting local tribes and bike tours. Solo pricing is $2997.00 CDN /per person BUT you can bring a second person in your room on a BOGO DEAL for only $500 more! That means 2 people can come for $3,497! That's only $1,748.50 per person!! All pricing includes accommodations, meals, yoga and taxes.

A full day women’s yoga retreat with Ally Boothroyd & Lindsay Vandenhurk

The intention behind this yoga retreat is to dive into the energy of fire, summer and the full moon. We will learn the ancient ways of working with the rhythms of nature and about this phase of light, the element of fire, the direction of the south and the full blossoming of life. We’ll integrate the energy both of the lunar cycle and the sun through surya namaskar (sun salutations), chandra namaskar (moon salutations).

We invite women to let go of the busyness of life and its demands and pause to listen to their own mind-body-spirit-heart’s desires & needs. The intention of this retreat is to allow women the space to heal. To slow down. To let go. To embrace silence. To nourish themselves.

This immersive day-long experience will allow you the space to nurture yourself in the most gentle and restorative way. You’ll take home new tools that will not only support your own self-care regimens, but will help you to support and serve your family, your community, and beyond.

The day will start off with an afternoon yoga practice (asana, pranayama & meditation) over-looking our secluded bay on Pigeon lake. We will be taking some time to reflect, integrate and spend time in nature. Our afternoon will consist of yoga, meditation, some learning on the deeper wisdom teachings and knowledge of the yoga practice as well as ayurveda and ending the day with a beautiful sunset stand up paddle board yoga session. Plus time for yourself. Quality time for yourself. We are so excited to offer this wonderful healing experience together.

The afternoon sadhana (practice) will begin at 12:00pm so please arrive around 11:50am to settle into savasana in the space. We will take a dinner break before SUP (which begins at 6:30pm) and the day will end just after sunset.

A full day women’s yoga retreat with Ally Boothroyd & Lindsay Vandenhurk.

Together we’ll explore the ayurvedic principles of healing through self care, food, and personal sadhana (practice). This immersive day-long experience will allow you the space to nurture yourself in the most gentle and restorative way. You’ll take home new tools that will not only support your own self-care regimens, but will help you to support and serve your family, your community, and beyond.

The day will start off at 10:00am with a morning yoga practice (asana, pranayama & meditation) over-looking our secluded bay on Pigeon lake. We will be taking some time to eat a nourishing, clean, plant based Sattvic Ayurvedic meal together in the afternoon. We will take time to reflect, integrate and spend time in nature. Our afternoon might include a mixture of yoga nidra, meditation workshops, Ayurvedic practices, creating ceremonial artifacts, or exploring energy medicine techniques. Lindsay and I are so excited to offer this wonderful healing experience together.

The morning sadhana (practice) will begin at 10:00am so please arrive around 9:50am to settle into savasana in the space. Meal time will be around 12:30pm and the day will end at 6:00pm.

Join facilitators Lindsay Vandenhurk (Discover Your Yoga) and Michelle Canasa-Sammut (Parivartan Orangeville Hot Yoga Studio) as they combine their Kripalu, Meditation, Pranayama and Core Strength Vinyasa backgrounds to offer you relaxing and energizing weekend getaway. Harmony Dawn Retreat Centre, Rice Lake, ON. Harmony Dawn is an easy 90 minutes (without traffic) North-East of Toronto. It is nestled into the famous Northumberland Hills, minutes off scenic Rice Lake, which is part of the Trent-Severn waterway. The retreat property is situated on historically sacred Native land in an area noted for its unusually high oxygen levels. Harmony Dawn is committed to leaving a small footprint on our beautiful planet. They are completely off the grid, self-sufficient and are regarded as one of the “greenest” buildings in Canada.

-A relaxing weekend retreat with daily yoga classes, hiking, meditation and more. (2 nights/3 days)

Sample day: 

Wake up to the beautiful sounds, smells and sights of fall. Enjoy a 90 minute yoga class in the sun-filled studio followed by breakfast in the silent dining hall… or take your breakfast outdoors and chat with new friends. Meet the group for a morning hike and then rejuvenate with some down time before lunch. Perhaps booking a massage, heading down to the lake, reading a book or taking a restful nap. An afternoon yoga class will be offered, outdoors if weather permits. After dinner, evening events like a campfire and a movie night are available… or enjoy a quiet evening to your self. This is YOUR weekend. Detailed schedule will be provided upon arrival.
