Lindsay’s passion for teaching, learning, playing and living life fully is evident in everything that she does.
Growing up as a competitive figure skater, Lindsay was introduced to meditation as part of her sports psychology classes and at age 12 began “teaching” guided relaxation to her girlfriends at sleepover parties. After taking her first yoga class as a teenager she was intrigued and curious about the mind-body connection but it wasn’t until her early twenties that Lindsay connected the physical practice to the spiritual, had a big “Ah-ha!” moment and packed her bags for Kripalu to complete her teacher training.
Known for her inspirational teaching style and ability to create a safe and sacred space for students to practice, let go and delve deeper into the inquiry of self, Lindsay supports students in finding their own expression of each posture while exploring and playing with their growing edge. Her classes are a blend of Kripalu/Mindful Slow Flow yoga infused with yoga philosophy, technical alignment, her heartfelt humour and the occasional four-letter word. ;) Her classes emphasize compassionate non-judgmental self-awareness, developing witness consciousness, being present in the moment and the practice of yoga not only on the mat, but off the mat as well. She has travelled extensively around the globe and draws on these life experiences to bring you a truly multi dimensional practice.
Lindsay is a certified Kripalu Yoga teacher and has completed her 500 hour training through the Kripalu School of Yoga. She has filmed yoga classes for Udaya.com, been a program facilitator for Yoga Alliance 200 hr teacher training programs and has owned and operated 2 successful yoga and healing arts centres in Caledon and Orangeville, Ontario.
Although Lindsay has studied under many influential teachers including Devarshi Stephen Hartman, Katie Brauer, Coby Kozlowski and Seane Corn, she trusts the wisdom of her own body above all to guide her practice and encourages her students to do the same.
